The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #61

Ultimate Rabbit Hole 61

Well, here we are again!  Is it me or did this week just go by really  quick? Hashbrown is here with his “What is it the weekend, already?” face on but you won’t get any complaints from us, no matter whether the week goes fast or slow, we’re always happy to see the weekend! Shall we hop on down the Rabbit Hole and see what will tickle our whiskers?

Today is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day and here are 21 genius ways to eat it. Personally the only way I like Peanut Butter and Jam is on a rice cake because I’m weird like that!  How do you like yours? Goofy’s Kitchen in Disneyland is famous for it’s Peanut Butter and Jelly Pizza, but if you can’t make it to California, here’s the recipe for you to make at home!

If you feel like you need more energy, and want some super simple tips to feel like a superhero, you’ll love these 3 ways to bring more kapow to your day. After reading this, I felt like putting on a red cape, my knickers over my tights and kapow-ing with wild abandon. But don’t worry, I didn’t. I wouldn’t want to scare the neighbours!

Keeping with the keeping healthy theme, I loved this 4 habits to steal from people who love working out. Number 3 is my favourite. What’s yours?

Every one is talking about white space this week – here’s what is is, why you need it and where to find it.

Even though I don’t have to leave the house to go to work, I still like my mornings to run like clockwork. I’m always looking to extend my make ahead breakfast repetoire and these 7 recipes are to die for!

We’ve been making a conscious effort to eat less carbs, and especially less bread which has had us thinking outside of the bread box. These 20 Lettuce Wrap Recipes are ticking all the boxes!

Still sticking with healthy habits, how about these 10 habits to build a strong marriage or partnership. I love love!

There’s been a lot of hoo-ha about Instagram and the algorithms. Praise be to Sonia for being the voice of reason, here’s what you need to know about instagram and while we’re on my favourite social platform, let’s hang out there for a minute while 11 Instagram stars spill their secrets.

I have weird dreams and always have. I should really write them down but they’re so long and complex that it would probably take me all day to note them down. I have this theory that if I had a unicorn doona, I would sleep much better because (my) logic dictates that all unicorn dreams are sweet. I haven’t tested out the theory yet but I’ll get back to you on that but in the meantime check out these 15 gift ideas for kids crazy about unicorns  (some of which are suitable for adult sized kids too) because unicorns really are flavour of the month right now!

Being a domestic goddess is hard yakka. I don’t hate housework per se, but what I really hate is cleaning up and then 5 minutes later and it looks like an apocalypse again (and I have no one to blame except myself!) I wonder if I do these 11 things that people with spotless houses do every day, if my house will be spotless too? A girl can dream, can’t she?

Anyway peeps, that’s it from me! Whatever you’re doing this weekend, hope these two days are jam packed with good stuff!

What’s on your weekend agenda? Are you a peanut butter and jelly fan? Do you love working out? Where do you find your white space? Are you a lover of unicorns too? What’s on your doona?

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers. Link up here, or  over at  My2Morrows.  Karin at  Calm to Conniption is still out this week  but she will be back up and running and with bells and whistles next week! It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on both blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

  • My week bounced between the SLOWEST ever and superfast.

  • I’m not a peanut butter and jam fan, although I like them separately, just never liked them combined. There’s a lot of American food I have troubles with haha.

Thank you for the link up!

    • Lucky, you don’t live in America then! Hope you adore being a family of four (oops, I mean five, I mustn’t forget Cooper!)

  • Jenni from styling curvy

Ruh oh shaggy, look out! I love peanut butter and jam (on white bread), but haven’t had it in years. You may have just sparked something Sammie.

Exercise, something I’m trying to do more of but if it feels like a chore or punishment it just won’t stick.

Have a rad weekend lovely xx

    • I’m quite the PB&J enabler this weekend! I think exercise is horses for courses, you have to find the one thing that lights your fire! Hope you have a beautiful weekend x

  • jess

Even after a short week, I’m still so keen for the weekend! I don’t think I have ever had peanut butter and jelly/jam…

  • Pingback: Why I’m a Shouty Mummy and What I do about it. – playing with fireworks()

  • Do you know Sammie, I’ve never had Peanut Butter and Jelly! Can’t really say that it’s something I’d like to try. But there is a whole nation that swears by it…so it must be good, right! Love the look of some of those Lettuce Wraps. Guacamole Chicken…yum! Hope you have lovely weekend. See ya next week x

    • How good are the lettuce wraps? I want them all! I used to hate the thought of PB & J but it’s something I’ve grown into! Hope you’re having a top weekend! x

  • My two year old keeps asking for peanut butter and jelly this week. I don’t know where he heard it, but I know that he won’t like it as he hates jam…

    • Wow! Your two year old is so in tune with the National Food Days – he must have a foodie sixth sense! Hope you’re having an ace weekend! x

Off to read that kapow post now! xx

    • Happy Anni to your and Mr GG! Yay for double digits – sounds like you had a magical night – everything is better with bubbles! Hope you recover quickly and find your kapow! Enjoy your Weekend of Love!

  • Some good links there…I used to love working out but in the past two months or so, I’ve lost my mojo. That link will be helpful. Same with the lettuce wrap link…plan is to restart being healthy from tomorrow. April 3rd isn’t too late, is it?

    • It’s never too late to get back on the wagon. I start every day with good intentions and then go off the rails by lunchtime! LOL! I think those lettuce wraps have the answer! Happy Weekend! x

  • Peanut butter and jelly? Hmmm! I’m sure it’s good I’m just a little unsure – but hey! I loved the Vegemite chocolate so sometimes it just works hey! I’m off to read all your links! Starting with 11 things people do each day for a spotless house!! Hello!!! This is singing to me 😀

    • I think the Vegemite and Chocolate is one step too far, but I’ll take your word for it! Those 11 house hacks are just genius, my favourite one was close the door! LOL! Hope you’re having an ace weekend!

  • Lots of great links there. I’m linking late and running. Just back from a day of shenanigans at Oz Comic-Con here in Perth. My first one. Not sure it is my thing but completely fascinated by the Cosplay side of things.

Tomorrow I’m attending the Breast Cancer Care WA long table lunch fundraiser. 5 hours of indulging and supporting a worthwhile cause. I can’t wait.

I also can’t wait for hubby to return from his latest trip to sea. My girls are all off doing their own thing and even though I’m busy, I’m feeling more than a little lost and lonely without him. More so than normal.

    • My Body Pump Instructor is the King of Comic Con, he’s won best costume quite a few times, I wonder if he was there? We’re still trying to plan our Run Disney costumes which should be interesting as I am the World’s Worst Sew-er (as in needlecraft not underground tunnels for waste!)

The fundraiser sounds ace – what great fun and a great cause! How long before hubby comes home? It’s only natural that you should miss him especially with the new digs and everything else you’ve got on! There’s no substitute for one’s beloved!

  • Sonia’s piece on Instagram is great! And I love the article on how to keep a spotless home! I need to put these tips in practice! Have a great weekend Sammie!

    • Sonia is a legend and yes, I need to put those tips into practice too! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! x

  • With an American mum, PB&J was a huge part of my childhood! And I still love it every now and then. Then when I worked at a summer camp I discivered PB and fluff sandwiches…. The White stuff in the middle of marshmellows that you can buy in a jar! Loved those fitness tips. I so wish I was one of those people who loves excersise! We’re so into unicorns since miss 6 got a talking one for Chrissy! So cute! Hope your Sunday is fabulous! Xx

    • A talking unicorn – how divine! First there was PB&J and then there was fluff! Whatever will they think of next?! Hope you had a fab weekend x

  • Lorraine @ Not Quite Nigella

Such a great reading list Sammie as always!! I really must try PB &J on rice crackers now 🙂

    • Rice cakes must not be confused with rice crackers! You don’t want to ruin the whole taste sensation! Hope you had an ace weekend! x

  • I need more ka-pow! Seriously good links this weekend. I hope it has been a great one. K x

  • Well any instagram hints are welcome. Love instagram and love those do ahead breakfasts too!

  • Thanks for that link re: workout habits #2 “They’ve tried lots of workouts”- Ha! That’d be me 😉 Now if only I can stick to one…
