The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #103

The Ultimate Rabbit Hole 68

Howdee bunny holers! How is every bunny this weekend? While this post is busy being published, I’ll be busy running around Sydney’s Northern Beaches in the Sun Run. It’s one of my favourite events on the running calendar and here’s why.

It’s a change of scenery because my usual running route takes me around the harbour with some cracking views of the Opera House. I’m loving these tips for 7 of the best places to take photographs of the Opera House. I’m going to have a lot of fun trying these out!

Now I know it doesn’t really seem the weather for it, but today is National Homemade Soup Day. I’m one of those people who can eat soup no matter what the weather so I’m getting excited about this Mexican Soup with Cheesy Tortillas,  this 30 Minute Lemony White Bean and Kale Soup and this Full Bodied Tomato Soup with Meatball CroutonsOf course, I’m always excited about my Auntie Sandra’s Champion Chicken Soup – it’s not called Jewish Penicillin for nothing you know!

I’m not a fan of change so this year I want to venture out of my comfort zone. For this reason, every month this year, I want to try something new for 30 days. Last month it was giving up candy and walking 10,000 steps every day. This month I want to have a minimum of 7 hours sleep a night and I’m playing the Minimalism Game. I’m so excited. If you want to join in the fun, me and my friends have started a Facebook group where we can play along, stay accountable and support and encourage each other. I know we’re four days in to the game, but feel free to come and join us,  it’s never too late to start, right?!

Whether you’re taking lunch to school or work, it’s always good to think outside of the lunchbox. I think these 5 healthy lunch ideas  would appeal to peeps of all ages and check out these 50+ Freezeable Lunchbox Recipes  because it’s always good to be one step ahead, isn’t it?

I’ve finally got back into my books (it’s only taken me 2 years) and am getting stuck in to my counselling course. My problem isn’t motivation, it’s trying to remember all the things that I’m reading. I think I’m going to need to do more of these 47 activities to boost brain power. Talking of power, power naps anyone?! Of course, I’m a massive fan of therapy and think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. These 15 things people who go to therapy never told youit’s a big, fat yes from me, on all counts.

Still on the subject of a healthy mind, check out these 7 online pyschologists to follow in 2017 and I’m also going to add my trusty co-pilot Jess from Confident Life  to that list – which makes 8 and that’s just great!

Now it’s not sunshine and roses all the time (although it would be nice if it was,) but here are some ace ideas for what to do when you have a case of the blahs. While we’re on the subject of feeling good, check out these 10 feel good hobbies that will max out your happiness levels. I’m pleased cooking and reading made the cut because they’re two of my favourites. What are yours?

I can’t sign off with out some canine capers so check out this story of the most pup-tastic bachelor party ever! 8 guys at a bachelor party in the woods, find 8 dogs and adopt ALL of them! Oh, I do love a happy ending, don’t you!

With that merry tale, I’ll be on my merry way, but first tell me what’s happening in your world this weekend – I hope it’s full of sunshine and roses. Do you think soup is soup-er too? If you have a favourite recipe, please share it in the comments. What do you do when you have a case of the blahs? Do you have a hobby that makes you happy?  Are you trying anything new this month? What do you do to keep your brain in shape? And what goes in your lunchbox? Tell me all the things!

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers and my awesome co-hosts. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Paula at  The Geeky ShopaholicJess at Confident Life and Shari at Good Food WeekIt doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.
