Taking Stock – April 2025

I know we’re already enjoying the yay of May but here I am better late than never with April’s action packed rewind. April may have been short but it was pretty sweet. Why don’t you grab a cuppa and join me for a little bit of taking stock?

Eating: Homemade pot stickers – can’t stop, won’t stop!

Making: Sherry’s Carrot Cake Granola. I am obsessed.

Baking: These Apple and Walnut Squares, I even posted the recipe!

Visiting: The Cotswolds for the first time! Read all about it in this month’s 10 on 10.

Staying: At this gorgeous Airbnb in Chipping Norton – dog friendly too!

Shopping: At the farm shop at Diddly Squat AKA Clarkson’s Farm.

Buying: All the Diddly Squat condiments.

Catching: Up with our dear (and very tall friend) Adam and his mum in the Cotswolds.

Wishing: We all lived a bit closer!

Joining: Sherry and friends for this month’s In My Kitchen.

Enjoying: All the fun of the fair – didn’t go on any rides though!

Swooning: Over this gorgeous house – how beautiful is the wisteria?

Spending: A fab weekend in London with friends.

Seeing: Choir of Man at the Arts Theatre – highly recommend.

Watching: The Mindy Project – I know I’m late to the party but it has me in stitches.

Reading: Nothing. I’ve well and truly fallen off the reading wagon, must get back on.

Listening: To Scouting For Girls – my fave.

Having: A girls afternoon at Abba Voyage. So much fun!

Laughing: At Chat GPT’s version of Teddy Roosevelt as a human.

Liking: The Australian election result. Very much.

Disliking: The news. I’ve accepted that this is my life now.

Loving: The glorious weather that we’ve been having. I mean, look at those blue skies!

Getting: Some English teaching work. First time being back in the classroom since Covid!

Picking: The first rhubarb of the season.

Feasting: For Easter with a lovely lunch at friends.

Curing: David’s hayfever with local honey. It’s nothing short of miraculous!

Walking: On the wild side past some super cute alpacas (see title pic.)

Looking: Forward to a merry May.

So now I’ve told you all about my April, I’d love to hear about yours!. Tell me everything in the comments!
