When it comes to cocktail bars, Palma more than delivers. Whether you’re looking for a something classic or more contemporary and creative, there’s a bar (and a cocktail) for you!
We had such a fun time finding some of the best cocktails in Palma. Beveraging (if that’s not a word, it should be,) is such a treat in Palma, because in Majorca, as in so many other parts of Spain, you often get treated to complimentary snacks with your drinks. This is one custom we can really get on board with!
If you’re headed to Palma, be sure to add these 7 bars to your list!
Rooftop Sky Saratoga
Located on the top floor of the Saratoga Hotel, this rooftop bar offers amazing views of the city and a decent drinks and cocktail menu. We were staying at the hotel and popped up on a couple of occasions but non residents are also welcome.

There’s a food menu too and although the prices are slightly higher than average, the views from the rooftop are definitely worth it.

Spritz Stop
This is such a fun find in the heart of Old Town – you might be inside but it’s giving summer garden vibes. There’s an extensive range of well priced spritz on the menu (€9.50) as well as a full cocktail list and beers, wines and spirits.

I choose the Canonita Spritz ‘Mallorca’ – a variation on the classic spritz as it’s name suggests featuring Mallorcan Canonita – a Mallorcan aperitif made from Canonita oranges from the Soller Valley. It’s really refreshing and the perfect drink to cool you down on a hot summer’s day.

Happy Hour rocks from 5 to 8pm daily where you can score mixed drinks for €7 and Aperol Spritz for €6.50. What a steal!

Clandestino Cocktail Club
Clandestine by name and clandestine by nature, this cosy, quirky cocktail bar is situated on a quiet side street. Both the vibes and the cocktails are top notch here and the bar has a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The menu includes signature classics, new prohibitions and mocktails and the mixologist here has really mastered her craft. Cocktails are well priced and range from €10-€12.

David recommends the Machine Gun with Makers Mark Bourbon, coffee, lemon, vanilla, ginger ale and smoke perfume. This place is a real hidden gem – great vibes, great cocktails and great service. Add it to your list!

Brassclub
Brassclub is classy and classic and the interior is giving 1950’s New York club vibes, complete with a stunning glass bottle ceiling. The cocktail list is very creative and the mixologists here are masters of their craft. The vibe is relaxed and the team are attentive and friendly.

Cocktails range in price from €12.50 to €16.50 with some unique house cocktails and their twist on some classics. The menu is detailed, with information on allergens (including sulphites,) whether it’s a short, mid or long drink and what kind of glass it’s served in.

My Maria ‘La Pickford’ with it’s blend of Tamboo and Angostura Reserva 3 years rums, pineapple, pine and passion liqueur, lime and maraschino is absolutely fabulous and even the receptacles are out of the ordinary! A cocktail at Brassclub is more than just a drink, it’s an experience!

Bar Abaco
So I’m putting it out there, this bar is bonkers. Anyone and everyone who had been to Palma told me to add this bar to my list and I can see why. This iconic bar dates back to the 17th century when it was originally a noble residence called Can Marcel.

Imagine a mansion, covered in fruit, antiquities and art and you’re halfway there. This place is vast and opulent and the atmosphere is wacky and surreal.

However, it’s very busy and very touristy – so be prepared to wait in line. At €17 the cocktails were the most ordinary but the most expensive we’d had in Palma (and as you can see we’d had a few!) but it’s worth a visit if for no other reason to say you’ve been.

Quentin’s Saloon
Located in a hip area just west of the center, this cool saloon style bar is definitely worth seeking out. Here you’ll find cool vibes, excellent drinks and lovely service.

The saloon styling is spot on, right down to the nifty door knocker! We arrive early on a Wednesday evening so there’s no need to knock to get into the speakeasy.

There’s a great cocktail list – all well priced at €10-€11 – and an excellent selection of spirits. The cocktails here are excellent and David’s Trouble in the City – Bulleit Rye, Cocchi Vermouth Torino, Amaro Averna, cherry liqueur and Laphroaig Quarter Cast – is a standout.

Aga bar
Just a short walk from Quentin’s, on Carrer de la Fabrica you’ll find Aga Bar, specialising in cocktails from Mexican regions As it’s name suggests Aga Bar has an agave house in Spain so they have an huge amount of agave spirits – Tequila and Mezcal – on the menu. However, I only have eyes on the Mai Tai!

Aga Bar is located on the fully pedestrianised Carrer de la Fabrica and the bar is nestled among lots of lively restaurants. There’s plenty of seating inside and out, choose the latter for optimum people watching!

Do you have a favourite cocktail? What’s the most unusual beverage you’ve ever tried?
All these cocktails were independently paid for and as always, all opinions are my own.
