Race day is fast approaching! I have nominated today to be BCD (Bib Collection Day) so after work I head off to Town Hall to the awesomely organised ASICS Expo to pick up my bib number and goody bag. The expo itself has everything a runner’s heart desires. The sports attire looks particularly appealing but I exercise enormous self restraint and don’t dare to look at, let alone buy anything. I have already splashed out on my race day attire!
There’s no queue, just a friendly helpful volunteer to sort me out. My goody bag has my bib number, some running magazines, a cereal bar, an energy drink and some face cream for all the wrinkles I will acquire en route. So now I’m sorted and ready to run!
