Rain, Rain, Go Away!

I can’t get up for work, let alone Basic Training. I feel like I’ve gone back in time to the Zombie-Zone when I was sans thyroid and drug-free – totally and utterly cream crackered. It takes everything I’ve got just to get up and out of the house. It’s so weird because I don’t just physically exhausted, but mentally too. It’s like my brain is all thick and fuzzy. Even my morning cup of coffee and some brain food in the form of a banana can’t bring me round!

I perk up a bit when I get to class as all my students seem tireder than me and they’re all young  and I’m assuming they all have a thyroid too. So what’s their excuse?! I have a bit of an energy injection and cruise through the day sustained by some of  Jane’s chocolate coffee beans and my very own Pumpkin Soup. It’s just too hearty and delicious. I could eat it every day and never get bored of it.

I also secretly scoff some of my Fruit Crackle Slice and Chewy Carrot, Oat and Walnut Slice which I take to work as part of the Feeder Programme. Although, the slices don’t look too hot after their train journey, they still taste good and my colleagues are a wholesome bunch. They don’t judge a book by it’s cover, or for that matter, a slice on how it looks. Just as well really!

It’s still cold and  wet which is most out of character for a Sydney summer. At this rate, I’m going to get Seasonal Affective Disorder to add to my list of ailments! I’m supposed to be taking part in the Sun Run tomorrow, and at this rate, it’s more likely to be a Rain Run! I guess it serves me right, because last year it was stinking hot and I moaned and groaned about the heat all the way! Some people are just never satisfied!

In the evening we meet Pippa and Colum for an early burger dinner. It gives me and Colum a good opportunity to discuss our strategy for the race tomorrow! He’s picking me up at 5.45 AM! Ouch! I know I should go to bed early but I’m too excited to sleep!
