The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #31

The Ultiamte Rabbit Hole 31

Greetings from the Gold Coast. I’m at my first blogging conference. In fact, I’m actually at my first conference ever. I feel almost grown up. A highlight has been catching up with my trusty Rabbit Hole co-pilots, Karin, Jess and Shannon. We might be partying our pants off in real life, but the show must go on. Praise be to Daisy the Bunny, for keeping us in cuteness!

It’s Rabbit Awareness Week (yes, that’s a thing!) in Scotland because despite being the UK’s third most popular pet, they’re the most neglected. Here’s to every bunny having a happy home, just like Daisy, bless her little furry paws!

First things first, today is National Lemon Meringue Pie Day so hope your day is positively pie-licious! If you want to get your bake on, why not aim high with this sky high lemon meringue pie! Oh yeah, baby!

While we’re on the subject, when life gives me lemons, I’m going to make lemon water. People say it’s the best way to start the day and who doesn’t like a healthy side of beauty benefits.

Travelling light is an anathema to me and this trip has been no exception. I couldn’t decide on which outfits to bring so in the end I settled on bringing anything that was clean and/or fit! I also brought a lorry load of fudge. Because giving people fudge is much more delicious than giving people a business card. I totally needed to pack like this.

Now I don’t know about you, but  my tooth always gets sweeter after dinner so I am going to be all over these five minute after dinner snacks.  Oh my, so bad but so good!

Now that I’m almost Australian, I am determined to master the art of the humble Lamington. I love this mini makeover of this Aussie classic, and there will never be a better excuse to buy a mini bundt tin. Oh yay!

Nothing puts yay in my day than doing nice things for my favourite people. The smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference and with these nice things  you can expand your niceness repetoire in 10 easy steps!

I’m a big believer in the idea that every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day. That said, if your day is turning out to be a tad under par, here are 8 ways to make it better.

Rest assured, my camera is getting a thorough workout this weekend, although I definitely prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front of it. I’m hoping, these 10 tips for looking better in photos will encourage the camera and I to love each other a little bit more.

So tell me, what are you up to this weekend? What’s your first drink of the day? How do you make a bad day better? As for the camera, do you prefer to be in front or behind?

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week.  Do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers. Link up here, over at Calm to Conniption, A Little Part of the World or My2Morrows. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Be a smarty and join this linky party!
