The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #62

Ultimate Rabbit Hole 62

Greetings from Canberra! Yes, I’m living it large in the nation’s capital and depending on when you read this, I’ll either be running rings around Canberra in the Australian Running Festival 10k or recovering from it! Take your pick!

Hashbrown and Freckles are looking mighty fine this week. I know I’m a bit biased but I think they are the cutest bunny twins I ever did see! Anyways, let’s get down to some bunny hole business! Today is National Chinese Almond Cookie Day. I’ve actually never eaten a Chinese Almond Cookie, let alone made one, but now I have the recipe, I might have to give them a go. They look delicious! After extensive research, I became a bit obsessed with Almond Cookies, there are so many different kinds. I think there must be an Almond Cookie for everyone. Check out these Matcha Cookies with AlmondAlmond Meltaway Cookies and these Dark Chocolate Almond Lacey Cookies and that’s just for starters!

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about peanut butter and jelly since last week’s sojourn down the Rabbit Hole, and still on the subject of peanut butter, this must be the best use for an empty peanut butter jar ever. I can’t wait to empty my jar to give this a whirl!

At our house there is a clear division of labour. I do the cooking because I love it and David makes the tea because he is good at it. Like really  good at it. If there was an Olympic medal for English Breakfast tea making, I am quite confident David could take out the gold. If you’re a die hard English Breakfast tea drinker you will love these 11 charts about tea that only tea lovers would understand, and if you’re not sure about whether to milk first or last, the experts say there’s only one way to make tea.

I’m desperate to transform our home which I’ve lovingly dubbed “Brown Town” into White City but it’s going to take a lot of time and a lot of money. While I’m waiting for my elusive lottery win or my money tree to grow, I’m taking heart and taking notes from these 5 Budget Friendly Home Makeover Tips. Sometimes a little money can go a long way.

It’s not a Rabbit Hole without some Instagram tips, so here’s a little video about how to take good Instagram photos – it’s only short but it’s packed full of tips and tricks!

Remember how we talked about how to make friends in your 30s and 40s a few weeks ago? It’s important to make space for new friends who share the same interests and values, but it’s also important to  hold on to the friends who matter, right?! Talking of mattering, you matter too! Did you know pamper time isn’t just a luxury? Pamper time is important and here’s why.

While we’re on the subject of taking care of yourself , I love these 6 ways to start your day right and 10 tips to help you stress less.

Typing is time saving but I’m so old fashioned, I love writing by hand.  Moreover, it’s good for you too.

And that’s a wrap!

Let’s talk tea, how do you drink yours? Have you ever had a Chinese Almond Cookie? What does your morning routine look like? Do you love handwriting too?  What’s happening in your world this weekend? Happy Weekend everybunny!

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers. Link up here, over at Calm to Conniption or My2Morrows. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all three blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.
