The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #112

Ultimate Rabbit Hole

Hello there! So lovely to see you. I’ve taken this week’s rabbit hole adventure on the road to Canberra for the Australian Running Festival. Depending on when you read this, I’ll probably be hobbling my way around the 10k course or telling everyone how much my legs hurt afterwards. But that’s not all! There’s so much to be excited about this weekend because Easter and Passover are coming! Woot!

I’ve never really celebrated Passover proper, although I have partaken in some delicious family feasts. For me, the thought of living without bread for eight days is almost too much to bear. That said, Passover is a great excuse to whip up some of my all time favourite cinnamon balls.

It would be remiss of me not to mention that today is actually National Empanada Day, oh how I love those doughy pockets of deliciousness. Keeping with the celebratory theme, I found this recipe for these super cute Easter Empanadas.

Let’s go back to Easter though, because so much yum! I’m loving these Woodland Donuts  because anything no bake and donuts gets my vote. Just as simple and just as delicious, is this Oh So Delicious Easter Popcorn  which is almost too pretty to eat. Almost but not quite!

I think Hot Cross Buns taste like Easter. If you want to get some buns in the oven but you want to think outside of the hot cross bun box, check out these Chocolate Hot Cross Buns with Ginger and Cranberrythese softest Apple and Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns, these Mars Bar Hot Cross Buns and last but not least, my Mini Egg Hot Cross Buns.

I love sugar too much to quit it entirely but when it comes to sugar highs, you can have too much of a good thing. Inspired by this Bumper Easter Gift Guide for Babies and Kids,   I’m going to be gifting my beloved small people non-edible gifts this year. And I’m totally going to get my craft on and adding these super cute DIY Carrot Bubble Wands to the list. You have to love a gift that is sugar free but full of entertainment.

If you’re up for some Easter entertaining, check out these ideas for an Easter bunny brunch and pink bunny pancakes. The cutest!

I love my Christmas tree hard but I’ve never had an Easter tree, have you? Maybe you’d want to make your own Easter Tree CentrepieceIf you’d prefer an Easter floral arrangement but don’t want to break the bank, you can make your own DIY your Easter flowers. All the blooms but half the price tag!

Last but not least, these 25 Easter Dogs are sure to make your smile, and if you want your pet to look the part this Easter, then why not make them a pair of 2 minute bunny ears?

That’s all from me, tell me what’s happening in your world this weekend. Are you egg-cited about Easter? Do you have an Easter tree? How do you like your Hot Cross Buns? Will  you or your pet be sporting some bunny ears this Easter? Whatever you’re up to, I hope you have a most egg-cellent weekend!

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers and my awesome co-hosts. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Paula at  The Geeky ShopaholicJess at Confident Life and Shari at Good Food WeekIt doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.
