Eerie-Sistable Halloween Rocky Road

Forget the tricks this Halloween and treat yo’self with this fully loaded rocky road. It’s frighteningly good.

Truth be told, I’ve never really been into Halloween but my friend Lorraine AKA Not Quite Nigella totally is and her enthusiasm for it is quite contagious.

Over the last few years we’ve been lucky enough to attend Lorraine’s Halloween events. She calls these events parties, I call them extravaganzas because everything is next level Halloween from the decorations to the outfits and of course, the food.

Last year, all the guests were daring enough to bring a plate and I bought this No Bake Halloween Spooky Slice which was scarily scrumptious. This year’s Halloween offering is for the lolly lovers with this faboolous rocky road – see what I did there?!

This recipe is very forgiving – I used mini packs of Halloween jelly beans (black, orange and white) from Coles – but you could just as easily buy a regular pack of jelly beans, take out the Halloween colours and eat the rest! What a wicked idea!

Similarly, I bought a pack of the M&Ms spooky mix (green, orange and brown) but you could just buy a regular packet and use the colours you need.

These days I like something to top my rocky road off and the spider and skull marshmallows from Coles did just the job! If you can’t source decorated marshmallows, make some of your own with regular marshmallows and an edible pen or just pass on the marshmallows altogether.

To quote Dracula, this rocky road is sure to be “love at first bite” and everyone will go batty for it!

Are you a fan of Halloween? Got any more Halloween puns for my collection?
