The Ultimate Rabbit Hole #120

Ultimate Rabbit Hole 120

Hello there bunny holers! It’s the first weekend of June and the first weekend of summer or winter, depending on your hemisphere! It’s a new month, a new weekend and looky here, there’s a new bunny in town. Meet Lola the bunny child of Seana and the new poster girl for the Rabbit Hole. Isn’t she gorgeous?

Now today is Eat Your Beans Day. Go on, you know you want to! I’m mad for beans and I’m also mad about my slow cooker so I’m loving the look of these Pineapple Crockpot Baked Beansthis Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup and my latest new favourite slow cooker recipe, my very own Slow Cooker Beef and Bean StewIt’s so good and perfect for this wintery weather we’ve been “enjoying” as is this Slow Cooker Sausage and Bean Hotpot. Get in my belly!

House prices in Sydney are rocketing into orbit and there are more unaffordable developments than you can shake a stick at but gee, the post about what House Hunters would look like if it was set in Australia had me laughing out loud. It’s pure gold!

I love all things wedding, especially the dresses. Wedding dress shopping was the best fun and I’ve always said that one day I’m going to take off my rings for the day and go faux wedding dress shopping… just for fun! So of course, I loved this sneak peek in to beautiful bridal styles from around the world.

Talking of weddings, I had to laugh at these 23 Hideous Pinteresty Wedding TrendsIn my humble opinion, there’s nothing hideous about a wall of donuts, a candy bar or your cute puppy taking on the role of ring bearer although granted, I do draw the line at wedding rompers.

Still on the subject of weddings, people share stories about the worst wedding guests they’ve ever encountered. Some of those have to be seen to be believed!

And while we’re on the topic of relationships and marriage, this illustration of the “mental load” is spot on.

Since I’ve been back, I’ve been trying to eat more healthy food and drink less. I’m a classic stress drinker so I’m all over these 8 ways to medicate stress that aren’t alcohol.

I don’t want to sound like a fuddy duddy but these days I’m always banging on about the good old days. I think I inherited that from my beloved nana, she of the famous bread pudding fame. These 10 things our grandmas got right  sum it up really rather nicely!

Some people brought some cracking links to the link up party last week. High five to Mica, for producing her first ebook How to Have a Stylish Pregnancy on a Budget  which I am sure will be an invaluable resource to many. Jan’s post about Penang made me hungry and gave me very itchy feet and I enjoyed Beth’s behind the scenes tour of Sydney fashion house, Philosophy Australia.

Of course, a rabbit hole adventure isn’t a rabbit hole adventure without a feel good, good dog story and this one about the dog who was included in the school yearbook  will warm the cockles of your heart, I promise!

What season is it where you are? Are you a slow cooker fan too? Will you eat your beans today? What’s your most/least favourite wedding trend? Are the house prices crazy where you live too? Tell me all the things!

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers and my awesome co-hosts. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Paula at  The Geeky ShopaholicJess at Confident Life and Shari at Good Food WeekIt doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all four blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.
